Caminha

Caminha-is “wow” – all the way from Viana do Castelo to Caminha is really fabulous. I left early and got to be there before noon. Caminha is tiny but so smart, lovely and I would say hospitable. I climbed up all the possible hills to see the fortress, entered all the open churches and enjoyed myself so much that I absolutely ignored the number of cakes that I bought out of curiosity and ate them all ☺

Praia de Afife

Praia de Afife - this beach will stay in my own top of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal for a long time. I think it was a matter of “timing” also, as I went there in the morning, when the beach was almost deserted and the seagulls were still around. It was pure magic, I swear. I couldn’t believe my eyes and was asking myself whether those people who were jogging or walking around were really aware of the beauty they “owned”. Those were some of the moments when I wished that photography could magically turn from 2D to 3D and take with it all the energy and good feelings that that place has.

Viana by night

Lisbon is no way as animated as Viana was that night. Everybody was in the street, everybody-from grandson to grandmother-they were all enjoying the terraces, the lights and the lovely energy of the place.
